Donald Harden Archaeological Archive

The Donald Harden archive, relating to the archaeology of Oxfordshire, was created during the time he was employed as the Assistant Keeper in the Department of Antiquities at the Ashmolean Museum (1929-1945). The archive contains 400 items and has been divided into 3 different files, representing the 3 main archaeological sites worked by Harden in Oxfordshire: Abingdon Anglo-Saxon Cemetery; Ditchley Roman Villa and Grim's Ditch.The material has been repackaged and stored in archival envelopes and boxes. None of it was in poor condition.
