Site Name: Chinnor

Site Location: East Oxfordshire
Related Achive: Manning

P. Manning's archive tell us a number of barrows have been recorded at Chinnor. In 1892 two iron spearheads, an iron arrowhead and a bronze chape were found by a labourer digging for stones in one of these barrows.

On the summit of Chinnor Hill are a pair of twin barrows enclosed in one ditch; another barrow sits on the hill summit in Chinnor Wood.
